Damon Semmens
Damon Semmens is a business trial attorney focused on commercial sale and ownership disputes. Before co-founding Malik Semmens, Damon accumulated extensive commercial experience and expertise handling lawsuits that involve breach of contract, fiduciary duty and fraudulent transfer claims.
Since graduating from Notre Dame Law School in 2005, Damon tried numerous cases in state and federal courts and represented clients before an array of regulatory agencies, including Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies, the Equal Opportunity Commission, and the Government Accountability Office in Washington, D.C. Damon has further successfully handled several appeals in Colorado, Texas and Hawaii.
Through this broad body of work, Damon has developed a client-focused approach that begins with understanding each client’s case and setting concrete goals that can be realized through focused and forceful advocacy. Damon excels at simplifying complex legal issues and weaving the facts of each case into compelling legal arguments. At Malik Semmens, Damon is focused on promoting a culture of excellence that provides clients extraordinary results while fostering professional collegiality amongst those he works with and against.
Damon is licensed to practice before Colorado’s state and federal courts and is an active member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. Outside the office, Damon is a cyclist, avid skier and a devoted Broncos fan who enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
